Steve William Patterson Jr. 52 of Athens, Alabama died Saturday, November 25, 2023 at Athens-Limestone Hospital.

Mr. Patterson was born December 27, 1970 in Jefferson County, Alabama and he was a retired Diesel Mechanic.

Visitation will be Wednesday at Spry Funeral Home in Athens 2pm until 4 pm. No Services are planned.

Survivors: Mother: Cora Patterson. Sons, Paul Patterson, Dylan Patterson, Mason Patterson and Elijah Patterson. Daughters, Adriana Lightsey (Zack), Cora-Leigh Young and Sue Ellen Young. Grandson, Niklaus Patterson. Nephew, Christopher Thomas (Panda). Nieces: Jessica Hendrix (Jesse) and Candice Coffman (Ryan). Sister, Sharon Thomas (Chris). Several Great Nieces and Nephews.

Sue, I have been learning of your life and the love of your family and friends through your adoring son, Will, over the past few days. I didn't know you personally but wish I had as you were my kind of girl! Whip smart, an overachiever, but always put family first. And I wish you would have taught me to cook!
