Joseph Hardison Isom, 88 of Athens, Alabama, died Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at his residence.

Services will be 1PM Monday at Spry Funeral Home Chapel in Athens with Tracy Moyers officiating and burial in Bethel Cemetery.

Visitations is Monday 11AM until service at Spry Funeral Home. Grandsons will be Pallbearers.

Mr. Isom was born February 28, 1935 in Alabama, he was a member of Bethel Church of Christ and former Owner & Operator Isom Orchid.

Survivors: Wife of 67 years: JoAnn Isom of Athens; Son: Wes Isom of Athens; Brother: James Isom of Chattanooga, TN; Seven Grandchildren; Ten Great Grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Limestone County.

A very sad day up here in Idaho for us to learn of Uncle Joes passing. He was a great positive influence in our lives, totally dedicated to his family, the farm and leaving an amazing legacy. I have nothing but fine memories of times spent with Uncle Joe - fishing, picking peaches, Bama games, hunting arrowheads, his knife collection, hanging out with friends at the country store. He was a real country gentleman, perfectly happy in his role in life. Our hearts go out to Aunt JoAnn, cousin Wes and all the Family.
