Sarah Rebecca Lemay, 83 of Athens, Alabama, died Sunday, November 26, 2023 at her residence.

Mrs. Lemay was born March 10, 1940 in Lauderdale County, she was a member of West Highland Baptist Church for sixty years and where she was a Sunday School Teacher for sixty plus years.

Services will be 11am Thursday at West Highland Baptist Church with Chuck Polk and Joe Teal officiating and burial in Roselawn Cemetery.

Visitation is Thursday at 10am until service at the church.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Camp, Kevin Camp, Paul Crawford, David Ausley, Tom Hicks, Travis Gray, Sam Thiele and Ray Lesshafft.  

Survivors: Husband, Byron Lemay of Athens. Daughters, Pamela (Jeff) Lee of Falkville, AL and Penny (Brandon) Hicks of Madison, AL. Grandchildren, Brently (Gabrielle) Burns of Hazel Green, AL, Laura Beth Thiele of Huntsville, Tom (Brandy) Hicks of Elkmont and Elise (Adam) Clem of Madison. Seven Great Grandchildren. Brother, Sidney Camp of Athens. Sister, Sharon Taylor of Athens. Several Nieces and Nephews.

Preceded in death by: Parents, Elbert and Louise Camp. Brother, Buford Camp. Son-in-law, Sam Burns.

Memorials may be made to West Highland Baptist Church.
