Mrs. Jimmie Gayle Coggin, 81 of Athens,
Alabama, died Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at Gallatin Center for Rehabilitation
& Healing in Gallatin, TN.
Mrs. Coggin was born March 22, 1942 in Elkmont,
Alabama and she was a member of New Life Assembly of God in Athens. She was
retired from South Central Bell and Federal Mogul.
Services will be 11am
Saturday at Spry Funeral Home Chapel in Athens with Scott Cryer officiating and
burial in Roselawn Cemetery.
Visitation is Saturday 10am until service at Spry
Funeral Home.
Pallbearers are Thomas Coots, Matthew Cryer, Mark Butler, Jacob
Butler, Wayne Turberville and Johnny Beddingfield.
Survivors: Son, Scott (Cathy
Davis) Cryer of Castalian Springs, TN. Former Daughter-in-law, Dawn Solomon of
Grain Valley, Missouri. Son- In- Law, Mark Butler, Muscle Shoals, AL.
Grandchildren, Heather (Thomas) Coots Grain Valley, Missouri, Matthew Cryer of Prattville,
AL, Jacob (Kacey) Butler of Muscle Shoals, AL and Gracie Butler of Muscle
Shoals, AL. Brother, Ronnie Locke of Athens. Several Nieces and Nephews.
Preceded in death by: Parents, Lyfus and Lou Ollie Locke. Husband, James F.
Coggin. Daughter, Dana Butler. Eleven Brother and Sisters.
