Johnny Ray Clinard age of 67 of Athens passed away Sunday January 26, 2025, at Athens Hospital.
He was born on August 6, 1957, in Morgan County.
Johnny was an avid Auburn and Tanner Rattler fan. He loved to attend sporting events near and far. He loved coaching youth baseball. He was a collector of all things. Visiting him was like visiting a museum, you had better pack a lunch because you were going to be there for a while.
To know him was to love him.
Survivors include
Wife: Joyce Ann Bishop Clinard
Sons: Stevie Dale (Amy) Clinard and Joey Clinard
Granddaughters: Haley Clinard, Halle Clinard, Riley Clinard
Brothers: Jerry Clinard and Tracy Clinard
Sisters: Helen (Lonnie) Nally, Belinda Davis, Lana (Jimmy) Powers
Several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother & father: Leroy and Edna Clinard and brother Micheal Clinard
The sons have decided to have a “celebration of life” soon, as that would have been what Johnny would have wanted. He loved music and having a good time.
