Dear Renee, Haley, Hannah, and Hope, Craig and Mrs.Wilma... we feel you already know our hearts, our love, and sense of loss... We so wish we could literally hug each of you right now... Since we cannot HUG you all right now, please know we will soon. Our hearts are truly breaking... But deep inside we know there is JOY awaiting us "When we all get to Heaven." "it will be worth it all when we see Jesus." May you feel the love and know how special David and each of you are to us.". May God's peace caress you today. Keep HIS song in your hearts. I love that you chose this picture of David! I know it brings a smile to both of us because this is how David always looked. He had a huge smile that encompassed his whole being. I (Nan) only found out why he was called Maddog the last Wednesday night we had an actual service at the church. He asked if we knew why and I didn’t so we talked a few more minutes and then turned to walk out the door. He did his dog growl and bark and if I hadn’t been frozen in fear, I might have run all the way to the parking lot. Of course David thought it was hilarious. 😏 We will miss him terribly but rejoice in the fact that he is with Jesus now. I thank God for bringing us to FBC where not only did we come to love David, but the rest of the Carters. ❤️

Bro David, I loved you and your sweet and loving soul. I watched as you made so many children laugh and thrilled at each young child you had blessing to baptize (which I knew meant that you led that child to salvation)! You will be missed! Love your sweet family and praying for them.
