Mary Ruth Frizzell, age 86, passed away on February 22, 2025 in Athens, Alabama,
She was born in Athens, Alabama to Herman and Nellie Pearl Brown. She graduated from Ardmore High School, and then pursued her career for many years as an Executive Secretary at United Space Boosters Inc. in support of the Space Shuttle Program. She was a former member of West Huntsville Church of Christ in Huntsville, AL and was currently a member of West Hobbs Street Church of Christ. She was a loving, devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Ms. Frizzell is preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Nellie Pearl Brown, and brothers, Charles Wade Brown and Raymond (Sonny) Brown.
Ms. Frizzell is survived by her daughter, Diane Frost (Danny) of Florence, Alabama; son, Steve Frizzell (Rhonda) of Winter Park, Florida; sisters, Doris Claxton, Joan Hughes (Charlie) and Margie Hooie (Barry) of Athens, Alabama. Grandchildren, Brittany Frost, Cody Frost, Mikaela Frizzell; great grandchild, Greer Frost. Nieces and nephews.
Services will be 1pm Wednesday at Spry Funeral Home Chapel in Athens with Scott Claxton and Jameson Steward officiating with burial in Limestone Memorial Gardens.
Visitation is 11am until service Wednesday at Spry Funeral Home.
