Louise B. Miller, 86 of Athens, Alabama, died Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at her residence.

Mrs. Miller was born June 17, 1937 in Lauderdale County and she was retired M.R.T. from several local hospitals. Her daughter-in-law said she was the best mother-in-law a girl could have. She couldn’t have hand picked a better one. She loved to travel especially this time of year when all the fall colors was out. She loved to read especially Nora Roberts. She was a wonderful grandmother and great grandmother to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a loving sister to all her siblings and a precious aunt to all her nephews and nieces and a loyal friend to many, She was always ready to lend a helping hand when needed. She will be greatly missed by all.

Services will be 11am Saturday at Spry Funeral Home Chapel in Athens with Rex Tucker and Eric Pugh officiating and burial in Limestone Memorial Gardens.

Visitation is Friday 5pm until 8pm at Spry Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Barry D. Miller, Butler G. Miller, Tony Sneed, Dillon Scott, Frank Taylor and Dennis Miller. Honorary Pallbearers are Casey Miller, Candy Miller and Troy Sneed.

Survivors: Husband of 68 years, Walter L. Miller of Athens. Sons, Barry W. Miller of Elkmont and Randy (Peggy) Miller of Tanner. Grandchildren, Barry W. (PeeWee) (Dawn) Miller of Elkmont, Brenigan N. Miller of Athens, Casey L. Miller of Tanner and Candy D. Miller of Tanner. Great Grandchildren, Barry D. Miller of Elkmont, Butler G. Miller of Elkmont, Matthew Guenther of Athens and Collin Guenther of Athens. Great Great Grandson, Macon Miller. Nieces and Nephews.

Preceded in death by: Parents, Estel T. and Clayton I. Butler. Sisters, Lola Dabbs and Lucille Butler. Brothers, Morgan Butler, Billy Butler, Herbert Butler and Paul Butler.
