Iva Jane Prosser age 81 of Athens passed away Friday December 8, 2023 at her residence.

Mrs. Prosser was born July 9, 1942 in Lauderdale County, Alabama. She was a homemaker and a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses, Athens.

A memorial service will be 3 pm Saturday December 23, 2023 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses in Athens.

Survivors include her Daughters, Ramona (Jason) Hurt of Athens and Jami (Wayne) Hurt of Athens. Grandchildren, Cameron Hurt of Athens. Emily Light of Talladega, Alabama. Jackson Hurt of Athens and Abigail Trapp of Lebanon, Iliinois. Sister, Wanda Hiett of Florence, Alabama. Several Nieces and Nephews.

Mrs. Prosser was preceded in death by her Parents, Robert D. King and Ellen Aline King. Husband, Harold Prosser. Brother, Dennis King.

I remember her and this family so well from the Decatur congregation. She and Harold were such a great couple. They were so close they would often finish each other's sentences. They would pick on each other sometimes but I know it was done in love. I am sad they are both gone. They cross my mind a lot. I hope to see them again someday in the resurection.
