Julia Eloise Croley Malone passed peacefully at home surrounded by family on Saturday, February 18, 2023

Julia was born October 17, 1935, to Lloyd and Margaret Croley in Limestone County, Alabama

Julia married George Ellis Malone on September 11, 1954, and then moved to Michigan in 1955.

She worked at Providence Hospital for 31 Years in Unit Management until her retirement in 1993 when she moved back to Alabama with her husband to be close to family.

Julia is survived by her children, George Michael (Debra) Malone, Timothy (Ruth) Malone, Mary Ann (Jonathan) Tolbert, and David Vance Malone, 12 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 7 step great grandchildren, her brother James "Sonny" (Patricia) Croley, daughter-in-law, Debbie Lee Malone, brother-in-law, Richard Johnson, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd & Margaret Croley, stepmother Ann Croley, sister Joyce Dean Croley, sister Patsy Johnson, husband George Ellis Malone, son James Byron Malone and her step grandchildren Bridget & George Williams.

Service will be 11 AM Thursday February 23, Spry Funeral Home Chapel, visitation 6-9 PM February 22, Wednesday evening, Spry Funeral Home.

Interment will be in Roselawn Cemetery, Reed Humphries officiating. Pallbearers will be Samuel Malone, Darrel Malone, George Trevor Malone, Tucker Malone, Richard Johnson, Tommy Downs, and Honorary Matthew Hayes.

Calvin and family, I am so sorry to hear this about Cindy. She had such a sweet soul and I loved our little chats when I saw her. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
