Darry Wayne Daws age 88 of Athens died Saturday at Huntsville Hospital.
Mr. Daws was born February 7, 1935 in Limestone County. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, and a small business owner. Mr. Daws was a founding member of Lindsay Lane Baptist Church.
Survivors include his Wife, Maxine Daws of Athens. Son, Kevin (Monica) Daws of Athens. Grandchildren, Jessica Daws, Chase Daws, Hunter Daws, Daniel Daws and Shanna Daws. Thirteen Great Grandchildren. Sister, Shirley Hill of Athens. Several Nieces and Nephews.
Mr. Daws was preceded in death by his Parents. Sons, Phil and Joey. Daughter, Karen. Grandsons, Corey McBay and Jacob Daws.
Services will be 2 pm Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at Lindsay Lane Baptist Church with Dusty McLemore and Chase Daws officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 11 am until service at the church.
Pallbearers will be, Daniel Daws, Chase Daws, Hunter Daws, Randy Black, Rick Daws and Ken Bates. Honorary Pallbearers will be, Marty McBay, Ron Pepper, Jim Ernest, Andy Williamson, John Plunk, David Jones, Jimmy McEwen and Marvin Allen.
