James L. Phillips, 82 of Columbia, TN died Saturday, November 11, 2023 in Columbia, TN

He was born July 24, 1941 in Lauderdale Co. AL to Johnny & Hattie Lee Phillips. Mr. Phillips was a Member of the Servants Heart Church.

Services will be Wednesday, 12 noon at Spry Funeral Home Chapel with Rob Johnson officiating burial in the Anderson Cemetery.

Visitation will be Wednesday 10 am until service time.

Survivors include wife, Shirley Phillips of Columbia, TN, Daughters, Janice Belt (John Mark) of Pulaski, TN, Diane Aben (Jeff) of Columbia, TN, Kathy Caines (Walt) of Michigan, Mary Palmore (Chad) of Fairview, TN, Brother, Joseph Phillips of Ohio, Sister, Carol Sue Davis of Florence, AL, 7 Grandchildren & 2 Great Grandchildren.

We're so sorry to hear about James passing, but we know he is rejoicing with Jesus! Although he's reached his final reward, the grief for those left behind is heavy.
I have so many memories with James, Shirley, Janice, Diane, Kathy, and Mary - all precious family friends. We love and are praying for Jesus to comfort your family during this difficult transition. Tara and Chris Dalton

To Shirley and family, I am so sorry to hear of James passing. I always thought so highly of him. In my memories of him , I always remember he had a smile on his face as well as him putting smiles on those around him. He was a great family man and always willing to help everyone he could without hesitation. I always looked up to him and grateful I was able to know him . He will be missed but I am comforted to know that he is now in a wonderful place . You are all in my prayers during your time of sorrow. God bless you all.

So sorry to hear about James's passing. He was also such a pleasant and friendly man when we attending church with him and his precious family. Our condolences to Shirley and the family. Prayers for you all.
