George F. Miller, Jr. age 87 of Athens passed away January 6, 2025 in Carthage, Mississippi.

Mr. Miller was born August 31, 1937 in Limestone County, Alabama, was retired from Dunlop and a member of Elkton Road Baptist Church.

Services will be 1 pm Monday in the chapel of Spry Funeral Home, burial in Limestone Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be Monday from 11 am until service at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Barry Miller, Lance McGuire, Don Pressnell, Dennis Pressnell, Layne Pope and Joey Miller.

Survivors include Daughter, Teresa Ann Gates of Decatur. Sons, Mark Edward Miller of Piney Chapel. Jeff Miller of Ardmore, Alabama. Joey Miller of Carthage, Mississippi. Eight Grandchildren and several Great Grandchildren and several Nieces and Nephews.

Mr. Miller was preceded in death by His Wife, Sylvia Jean Miller and Daughter In Law, Amanda Jean Miller and Tina Miller.

To Gloria’s family: She was the beauty in beautiful. She was the Christian in Christianity. She was the peace in peaceful. She was the love in lovely. I go could go on and on with positive affirmations!
Today is a sad and empty day for each of you as you realize your family glue has moved to her heavenly destination without you. She awaits you to join her as she celebrates her Savior and Lord.
