Frankie Eugene Lee age 70 of Athens passed away Saturday at his residence.

Mr. Lee was born October 28, 1953 in Limestone County. Mr. Lee was a United States Airforce Veteran, retired from Delphi and later Hometown Grocery.

Services will be 2 pm Wednesday in the chapel of Spry Funeral Home with Chris Olive officiating, burial to follow in Dement Cemetery.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 11am until service at Spry Funeral Home.

Survivors include his Wife, Carol Ball Lee of Athens. Daughter, Brittny (David) Owens of Athens. Grandchildren, Jayden Shay Owens and Kynslee Paige Owens . Step Grandson, Tyler Starnes, Step Great Grandson, Atlas Starnes. Brother, Roger Lee of Athens. Sister, Dianne Turner of Athens. Several Nieces and Nephews.

Mr. Lee was preceded in death by his Parents, Price and Hester Lee. Grandparents, Rome and Mattie Lee and H.B. and Geneva Elrod.

Pallbearers will be, Troy Eaton, Chase Owens, Tyler Starnes, J.J. Owens, Layne Croley and Brian Rogers

Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.

I remember her and this family so well from the Decatur congregation. She and Harold were such a great couple. They were so close they would often finish each other's sentences. They would pick on each other sometimes but I know it was done in love. I am sad they are both gone. They cross my mind a lot. I hope to see them again someday in the resurection.
