Alabama, died Saturday, December 23, 2023 at his residence.
Mr. Bailey was born
May 20, 1957 in Limestone County and he was a member of Central Church of
Christ. He was retired from Teledyne Brown Engineering.
There will be a
Memorial Graveside Service 1PM Friday at Athens City Cemetery with Barry Tucker
officiating.
No Visitation is planned. Spry Funeral Home in Athens is
directing.
Survivors: Wife, Mary Lynn Bailey of Athens. Mother, Mary Bailey of
Athens. Son, Matt (Mandy) Bailey of Vestavia Hills, AL. Grandchildren, James
Bailey, Elizabeth Bailey and Charles Bailey. Sister, Melesa (Steve) Tommie of
Athens. Brother, David Bailey of Athens. Several Nieces.
Preceded in death by
Father, William David Bailey.

Mary and Family, Karen and I are so sad to hear of Joe’s passing from this earth but we rejoice that he is in his eternal home with no more pain or sorrow. Joe was one of my very best friends at work for many years and I will always treasure the joy and laughter he brought to my days not to mention his great skill and hard work. He was a one of a kind friend.
