Bobby Gilbert Carwile, 84 of Athens, Alabama, died
Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at his residence.
Mr. Carwile was born February 10,
1941 in Madison County, Alabama. He was a member of First Baptist Church in
Athens, he was retired from Monsanto & Morton Thiokol. He was a Veteran of
the U.S. Army, Alabama State Defense Force and Alabama Army National Guard.
Services will be 2pm Monday at Spry Funeral Home Chapel in Athens with Joel
Carwile, Korah Pepper, Kim Bailey, Riggs Bailey, Zeke Carwile and Jo Carwile
officiating, burial in Thatch & Mann Cemetery with Military Honors.
Visitation is Monday 1pm until service at Spry Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will
be Mike Green, Martin Bailey, Riggs Bailey, Todd Pepper, Zeke Carwile and Joel
Carwile. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ray Carwile, Kenneth Carwile, Glenn
Carwile, J.W. Wallace and Grayson Bailey.
Survivors: Wife, Gayle Riggs Carwile
of Athens. Son, Joel F. (Jo) Carwile of Hazel Green. Daughter, Kim (Martin)
Bailey of Athens. Granddaughters, Korah Bailey Pepper (Todd) and Dani Carwile.
Grandsons, Riggs Bailey and Zeke Carwile. Great Granddaughter, Vivien Pepper.
Great Grandson, Talmage Pepper. Brothers, Ray Carwile of Athens, Kenneth
Carwile of Athens and Glenn Carwile of Athens. Sisters, Dorothy Phillips of
Athens and Ann Thorn of Athens. Nieces and Nephews.
Preceded in death by:
Parents, Alex and Earline Carwile. Brother, Allen Carwile. Sister, Betty
Wallace.
Memorials may be made to The Veterans Museum or Wounded Warriors.

Sarah was such a special lady! I have happy memories of the laughs we have shared over the years. She was proud of her family and loved them dearly. Mrs. Sarah and Mr Rayburn will be remembered fondly by my girls and me.
