William (Bill) Chaney, 68 of Anderson, Alabama, died Monday, October 31, 2022 in North East Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, GA.
There will be a 3PM Memorial Service Sunday at Spry Funeral Home Chapel in Athens with Mitchell McCormick officiating, visitation is from 2PM until 3PM Sunday at Spry Funeral Home.
Mr. Chaney was born July 16, 1954 in Albertville, AL. He was retired from United Launch Alliance in Decatur and he was a U.S. Navy Veteran. Mr. Chaney was a graduate of Cullman High School in 1973 and he was a volunteer and a Animal Foster for New Leash on Life in Madison.
Survivors: Wife: Venita Chaney of Anderson, AL; Sons: Jacob McCurry of Ardmore, AL and Alex McCurry of Athens; Brother: Alan Chaney of Hanceville, AL; Sister: Barbara Boershinger of Wisconsin; Grandchildren: Hutso Parsons, Leo McCurry and Duncan McCurry.
Memorials may be made to New Leash on Life Animal Rescue in Madison, AL or any other Animal Shelter.
