Current Obituaries
Robert Edward Schrimsher, 79 of Athens, Alabama passed from this life Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family.

Mr. Schrimsher was born December 17, 1942 in Limestone County. He was a faithful member of Berea Baptist Church and was retired from Northwest Airlines after 36 years of service. He lived a life loving his family fiercely and enjoyed many things life offered. One of those was his love of Bluegrass Music.

Services will be 2PM Thursday at Spry Funeral Home Chapel with Pat Lawrence and Roy McMahan officiating with burial in Roselawn Cemetery.

Visitation is from 12noon until 2PM Thursday at Spry Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Kent Rose, Chad Farmer, Christopher Rose, Roy McMahan, Ricky Adams and Brent Schrimsher. Honorary Pallbearers are Caleb White, Ben White, Tyler Schrimsher, Paxton Schrimsher and Carson Bourque.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Alene Schrimsher and his brother, Travis Schrimsher.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret Ellen Schrimsher, his Daughter, Alecia White (Grant), Stepson, Larry Pierce (Gayla), Stepdaughter, Patricia Farmer (Terry), Son, Brent Schrimsher (Honor) all of Athens. Eleven Grandchildren. Sixteen Great Grandchildren and a lifetime of friends and extended family.

Donations may be made to Hospice of Limestone County.

I’m so sorry we lost Diane. She was so good to our family. She cared for our Dad as well as 2 brothers when they were sick and was a good friend to them all. I’m thankful for having known her.
