Garlen 85 of Athens, passed away Saturday,December 4, 2021 at Limestone Health
Facility.
Service will be Thursday, December 9, 2021 at 1PM at Spry Funeral
Home Chapel.
Visitation will be Wednesday, from 6 until 8 PM. Burial will be in
Oneal Cemetery .
She was born January 28, 1936 to Ralph and Pearl Gurtatowski in
Harrisburg, PA. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church and retired
from Athens Limestone Hospital,
She was preceded in death by Husband:
Johnny Garlen and her Parents, one brother and two sisters, She is survived by
Son: John (Terri) Garlen of Elkmont, AL, Daughter: Kathleen Barran of
Pensacola, FL, Grandson: Eddie Garlen, and Granddaughter, Skylor Barran
and five Great Grandchildren,

Steve, So sorry to hear of your dads passing . He was such a sweet and witty man and I really enjoyed carrying Dad to visit with him when I could. Those two will be missed greatly by all of us. I can only imagine they have been reunited with their parents and brothers looking down on us and waiting for the day we can join them again. God Bless you and your family
