Michael Duane Murphy, 71 of Elkmont, Alabama, died Monday,
October 14, 2024 at Huntsville Hospital.
Mr. Murphy was born March 17, 1953 in
Fort Smith, Arkansas, he was retired from the U.S. Army as a Captain, he
retired from Redstone Arsenal, Intergraph for 20 years. Mr. Murphy was an avid
Motorcyclist since the age of 11. In 2007 he began teaching Motorcycle Safety
at Harley Dealerships from Huntsville to Mobile where he taught over 1000
students. His pride and joy was his grandsons and daughter.
A Memorial
Service will be held later. Spry Funeral Home in Athens assisted the family.
Survivors: Wife, Cindy Murphy of 40 years of Elkmont, AL. Daughter, Megan
Therese Morris of Ardmore, AL. Grandsons, Evan Morris and Cameron Morris both
from Ardmore, AL.

I am sad to hear of Michael’s passing. I worked at Intergraph part of the time that he was there. He was an inspiration to me. Please accept my sincere condolences.
