Julia Elizabeth Hayes - Spry Funeral Home

 

Julia Elizabeth Hayes, 65 of Athens, Alabama, died Sunday, May 18, 2025 at Athens Limestone Hospital.

Mrs. Hayes was born August 6, 1959 in Fayetteville, Tennessee, she was a member of Round Island Baptist Church in Athens and she was retired from the State of Alabama.

Services will be 3pm Thursday at Spry Funeral Home Chapel in Athens with Mike Green officiating, burial in Thatch & Mann Cemetery.

Visitation is Thursday 1pm until service at Spry Funeral Home.

Survivors: Husband, Tony Hayes of Athens. Father, Richard Johnson of Athens. Son, Matthew (Kate) Hayes of Athens. Grandchildren: Brooklyn Hayes and Preston Hayes. Brother: Richard (Deana) Johnson of Athens. Nieces: Carrie Lawrence and Mallory Johnson.

Preceded in death by: Mother, Patsy Annette Johnson.
