David Wayne Jones, 53 of Athens,
Alabama, died Sunday, December 10, 2023 in Huntsville, Alabama.
Mr. Jones was
born June 6, 1970 in Winchester, Tennessee and he was a member of Round Island
Baptist Church. He was retired from the State of Alabama Parole Officer and a
former Athens Police Officer.
A Memorial Service will be held later. Spry
Funeral Home in Athens assisted the family.
Survivors: Sons, Malachi David
Jones of Park City, TN and Blake Wayne Jones of Athens. Grandchildren, Thalia
Coleman and Forrest Andrew Jones. Brother, William Alan Jones of Tullahoma, TN.
Sister, Kimberly Ann Lowry of Brownsboro, AL. Step-mother, Annie H. Jones of
Huntsville, AL.
