Jimmy Eugene Hacker, 80 of Athens, Alabama, died Thursday, December 12, 2024 at Huntsville Hospital.

Services will be Sunday 2PM at Spry Funeral Home Chapel with Scott Richards officiating, visitation is Sunday 12noon until service at Spry Funeral Home.

There will be a 1PM Graveside Service Monday at Higgins Cemetery.

Survivors: Daughters: Belinda Prosser of Ardmore, AL and Connie Hacker of Athens. Son: Jimmy Dale Hacker of Athens; Six Grandchildren. Nine Great Grandchildren.

Sonya and I were friends from freshman year through graduation.
We did so may things together like the senior talent show with kiss- make up and the best dance routine ever. Sonya pushed me when I needed pushed. For example going out for the MissHeath Padget...Which she won!!! The most beautiful and bravest strongest and loyal friend I could ever ask for. Her friendship was golden she was always an inspiration to me and now... She is an Angel and shines brighter than ever I am blessed for knowing her.
