Guy (Buddy) King Jr., 83 of Athens, Alabama, died
Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at Limestone Health Facility.
Services will be 2pm
Sunday at Lindsay Lane Baptist Church with Dusty McLemore officiating with
burial in Athens City Cemetery.
Visitation is from 1pm until 2pm Sunday at the
church. Spry Funeral Home in Athens is directing.
Pallbearers will be Bud
Allen, Marty Allen, Jonathan Downs, Drew Downs, Ralph Shaw
and Dave Young. Great
Grandsons, Griffin and Jacob Downs will be Honorary Pallbearers.
Mr. King was
born August 20, 1939 in Limestone County. He was a member of Lindsey Lane
Baptist Church, a former Board Member of Lindsey Lane Christian Academy and he
was a retired Farmer.
Survivors: Pat King of Athens; Daughters: Gina (Jimmy)
Downs of Athens and Delania (Mark Baker) King of Athens; Sister: Peggy King
(Bud) Allen of Prospect, TN; Seven Grandchildren; Five Great Grandchildren.

Oh Pat! I am truly at a loss for words. You have lost a spouse and we have lost a dear friend. We all had some good times together and will never forget "Buddy", he was one of a kind and we loved him very much. Praise God, we will see him again soon and then the good times will really begin to roll. Praying for God to comfort and strengthen you from this day forward. We love you, Patsy & Dwayne
