Talmadge W. B. Waddell, 90 of Athens, Alabama, died Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at Limestone Health Facility.

Service will be 1pm Monday at Spry Funeral Home Chapel with Danny Butler officiating with burial in Roselawn Cemetery.

Visitation is from 12noon until 1pm Monday at Spry Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Josh Hartsell, Jonathan Hardiman, Harold Johns, Royce Waddell, Ricky George and Anthony Claxton. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.

Mr. Waddell was born February 19, 1932 in Lauderdale County, he was a member of Sardis Springs Church of Christ, a member of the Blind Support Group, a member of the Golden Age Band and he was retired from the City of Athens Street & Sanitation Department.

Survivors: Sons: Danny Waddell of Athens and Toby Waddell of Athens; Daughter: Phillis Claxton of Athens; Sister: Inita Hamby of Athens; Grandchildren: Nicki Johns, Jonathan Hardiman, Katelyn Waddell, Brittany Hartsell and Christopher Waddell; Great Grandchildren: Hunter Hardiman and Anna Hardiman. Step- Great Grandchildren: Lou Carwile and Tina Carwile.

Preceded in death by: Wife: Edith Waddell; Four Brothers; Three Sisters; One Grandson. Step- Great Grandchildren: Lou Carwile and Tina Carwile.

We met Sean in 2011 when we lived in Athens. We had just moved from upstate NY. Sean befriended our son Alex. Sean was a kid you immediately liked.
