Franklin David Roberson age 80 of Athens passed away Tuesday at Athens Limestone Hospital.
Mr. Roberson was born February 13, 1943 in Limestone County, was the owner and operator of Roberson Backhoe Service, and a member of Round Island Baptist Church.
Services will be 11 am Friday in the chapel of Spry Funeral Home with Mike Green officiating, burial to follow in Athens City Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday from 6- 9 pm at Spry Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Jaylen Malone, Blake Roberson, Jesse Watwood, Shane McCurry, Kevin Smith and Ronny Taylor. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ralph Fowler, Henry Carter, Gene Russell, Jim Bilinski, Tony Brewer, Charlie McAdams, Granville Martin, Lynn Persell and Brother Bill Bailey.
Survivors include his Wife, Judy Gooch Roberson of Athens. Children, Cindy (Kevin) Smith, Lisa McAdams and Scott Roberson. Six Grandchildren and Eleven Great Grandchildren. Preceded in death by his Parents, Everett and Della Roberson. Brother and Sisters, C.A. Roberson, Mauvoline Wilbanks, Elvia Holmes, Teresa Jewel, Carson Roberson and Evelyn Roberson.
