Deloris (Dee) Williams, 80 of Athens, Alabama, died Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at her residence.

Mrs. Williams was born December 16, 1943 in Dalton, Georgia and she was a retired Nurse.

There will be a 3PM Graveside Service Thursday at Roselawn Cemetery. No visitation is planned. Spry Funeral Home in Athens is directing.

Survivors: Daughter: Amy Terry of Wisconsin; Granddaughter: Kayla (Jeremy) Grantland of Athens; Great Grandchildren: Sidney, Macon and Houston Grantland; Four Sisters; One Brother

I will always remember Dee as such a caring and devoting person. She came into my life when she married my father Garland, when I was twelve years old. I know that she enhanced my father's life greatly and together, they were a complete couple. Over the years I visited Dee and my father in Alabama, I was fortunate to see their relationship grow and see what a comfort Dee was to my father. It was also wonderful for me to see Dee's relationship with Kayla grow over the years from a little beauty queen to a caring and devoted mother to her children and granddaughter to her Nana.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to those who loved and cared for Dee, for she will be missed.
