Bobbie Ray Clem, 76 of Lester, Alabama, died Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at his residence.

Mr. Clem was born February 25, 1947 in Limestone County and he was a member of Salem Springs Baptist Church. He was a Vietnam U.S. Airforce Veteran and a retired Police Officer for the City of Athens.

Services will be 3pm Saturday at Spry Funeral Home Chapel in Athens with Kevin Ward officiating and burial in Roselawn Cemetery with Athens Police Department Honor Guard.

Visitation is Saturday 1pm until service at Spry Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Mike Clem, Blake Allison, Tommy Downs, Floyd Johnson, Jeff Chattin and Heath Emerson. Honorary Pallbearers will be Brayden Clem, Alex Schwarz and Ridge Clem.

Survivors: Wife, Jayne Clem of Lester. Son, Mike (Beth) Clem of Athens. Daughter, Angie (Jeff) Chattin of Canton, GA. Grandchildren: Alex Schwarz, Brayden (Reagan) Clem and Raegan Clem. Great Grandson, Ridge Clem. Brothers, Doris Clem of Decatur and Harold Clem of Decatur. Several Nieces and Nephews. Preceded in death by: Parents, Melvin and Ruth Clem. Brother, Shelby Clem.
