Nell Pack Harvey, age 88 of Athens, AL, died Thursday, July 15, 2021 at her home.

Nell was born on January 15, 1933 to John and Anna Pack in Limestone Country. She loved to plant flowers, write poems and enjoy her family and friends. Nell was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Athens. She was preceded in death by her husband Howard Leslie Harvey and her parents John and Anna Pack.

Nell was survived by her Son and Daughter-in-Law Kirk and Marla Harvey of Athens, AL; her granddaughter Leslie Harvey of Athens, AL; her grandson Adam Harvey of Athens, AL; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; and several nieces and nephews.

A special thanks to friend and caregiver Melissa LeCroix and hospice nurse Samantha Kirby.

The family will receive family and friends at Emmanuel Baptist Church on Saturday, July 17 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Athens. A celebration of life service will be held at 3:00pm, with burial following at Roselawn Cemetery.

Kirk, I was just going through some old cards and notes of my Mother, Mildred Thornton, from your Mother! So many fond memories of them, our Dads and thinking of all the fun they had together.
I hope you and your family are doing well!
My husband Ellis and I live in Birmingham. Hoover to be exact. We moved back in January of 2020. We lived in Baton Rouge for 22 years. My two children, Abbey and Harry Blalock live in Birmingham now too.
