Hollis Wayne Hogan 81 of Athens, AL passed away Tuesday July 27, 2021 in Elkmont, AL.
Services will be Saturday July 31, 2021 at 11:30 AM at Spry Funeral Home with Mike Kelley and Jeremy Jones officiating.
Visitation will be Friday July 30, 2021 5-8 PM at the funeral home .
Interment will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
He was born July 28, 1939 in Limestone County and was owner/operator of Hogan Auction, and was the former Sheriff of Limestone County.
He is survived by Son: Joel Franklin Hogan of Athens, AL Daughters: Amy Clem, Mary Beth Harrison (Tracy), both of Elkmont, AL, Heather Whitt (Lloyd) of Ardmore, AL, April Jones (Jeremy) of Anderson, AL, Christy Holmes of Guntersville, AL, 12 Grandchildren, 4 Great Grandchildren, Sister: Sandra Garris of Elkmont, AL.
He was preceded in death by: Parents: Howard and Mattie Lou Hogan, Wife: Glinda Hogan, Grandson: Matthew Pressnell, Sister: Glenna Goode.
Pallbearers will be Will Lewis, Cole Hogan, Matthew Tucker, Ben Clark, Alan Jaynes, Nick Jaynes and Christopher Hogan.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Amedisys Hospice.
