Perry Richard Michael, age 80 of Athens passed away Monday
at his residence.
Mr. Michael was born January 6, 1942 in Kansas to Homer and
Evelyn Green Michael. Mr. Michael was a Vietnam Veteran of the U.S. Navy, and a
retired Logistics Technician for the Military.
A memorial visitation will be
held at Spry Funeral Home on Monday September 26, 2022 from 1 pm until 3 pm.
Mr. Michael is survived by his Wife, Marilyn Michael of Athens. Son, Scott
Michael of Guntersville. Granddaughter, Ella Michael of Huntsville.

My sincere sympathy to Perry's family. I am not from Girard, but my husband, Chuck, was and through him I have met so many wonderful people from his time there. I always loved seeing Perry at the Alumni gathering and Chuck had great stories including his golf trip that took him to the Michaels and their wonderful hospitality. We were just talking about Perry at Alumni this year and how we missed him. Prayers to his wonderful wife, and all his family and friends. He will be missed by so many.

Perry just reading about your obituary. Was an honor to have worked with you on the Javelin program. I remember you liked Tatar and appreciated sharing stories especially on the tow missile program that brought international news, weeks of testimony from Ollie, and the role you played in it. Enjoy the links in heaven. You served our country well.
