Harry Samuel (Butch) Cornett age 66 of Athens passed away Monday September 26, 2022 at his residence.
Mr. Cornett was born February 23, 1956 in Madison County, Alabama. Mr. Cornett was a member of O'Neal Church of Christ, and was retired from law enforcement after 34 years.
A memorial service will be 1 PM Saturday in the chapel of Spry Funeral Home with Lynn Rager officiating. Visitation at the funeral home will be Saturday from 12 noon until service.
Survivors include his Wife, Treva Davis Cornett of Athens. Son, William Davis of Double Springs. Granddaughters, Isabella Davis and Leanna Davis. Sister, Henrietta Morrison of Athens.
Mr. Cornett was preceded in death by his Parents, Malcolm and Priscilla Cornett. Wife, Shelia Hight Cornett. Son, Dalton (Dody) Cornett. Sisters, Patricia Coffman and Jeannie Mingee.
