Joan Coyle, 70 of Harvest, Alabama, died
Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at her residence.
Services will be 2PM Wednesday at
Spry Funeral Home Chapel in Athens with burial in Roselawn Cemetery.
Visitation
is Wednesday 12noon until 2PM at Spry Funeral Home.
Mrs. Coyle was born
December 8, 1953 in Alabama, she was a member of Good Shepard United Methodist
Church and she was a retired School Teacher.
Survivors: Husband: Edward Coyle
of Harvest; Brother: William B. Crysel of Huntsville; Sister: Terry Phillips of
Hartselle; Step-son: Edward R. Coyle of Syracuse, NY; Nieces and Nephews; Five
Step-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or
Favorite Charity.

Joan was like a sister to me. She was loving, sweet, kind and generous. She did beautiful needle work. She loved everything HUMMING bird. She was a dedicated English arts teacher. She taught for 37 years. She will be missed by so many people, including the family dog, Rambo.

I’ve wanted to tell you for 20 years how much you meant to me. When other teachers hated me, you took time to not only help but to be the person I needed in a time I had no one. Thank you, for being a person I never forgot. I just hope your life was a blessed life. You deserved the world.
