James Douglas (Doug) McCurry, 87 of Athens, Alabama, died Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at Athens Health & Rehab.
Mr. McCurry was born December 28, 1936 in Limestone County. He was a well known and loved Pastor in his community and will truly be missed.
His favorite Bible verse was Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Services will be 3pm Friday, May 31, 2024 at Spry Funeral Home Chapel in Athens with Randy Johnson officiating, burial in Oakgrove Cemetery.
Visitation is Friday 2pm until service at Spry Funeral Home.
Survivors: Sister-in-law, Jeannette McCurry. Nieces, Angela Jackson, Pam Ramphal, Pat Taylor, Gail Clem and Diane Johnson.
