Gladys Hicks Brown, 90 of Athens, Alabama, died Sunday, April 20, 2025 at Madison Hospital.

Mrs. Brown was born June 27, 1934 in Double Springs, Alabama, she was member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Athens and she was retired from Brown & Brown Accounting.

Services will be 4PM Wednesday at Emmanuel Baptist Church with Ron Oakley, Dan Hughes and Kevin Ward officiating, burial in Limestone Memorial Gardens.

Visitation is Wednesday 2-4pm at the church. Spry Funeral Home in Athens is directing.

Pallbearers will be Van Miller, Dan Brasher, Kirk Harvey, David White, Jeff Musolf and Joel Criswell. Honorary Pallbearers will be Lowell Smith and Bob Vaughn.

Survivors: Daughter, Jayne (Joel Criswell) Clem of Athens. Son, Wes (Lynne) Brown of Athens. Grandchildren, Jonathan (Carrie) Brown of Athens and Jeremy (Britley) Brown of Athens. Granddog, River. Great Grandchildren, Cade Brown and Jace Brown. Brother-in-law, Harold Smith. Nieces and Nephews.

Preceded in death by: Husband, Wesley Brown. Brother, Wendell Hicks. Sister, Betty McAbee.
