Doris Holt Smith, 79 of Elkmont, Alabama, died Wednesday, April 12, 2023 in Elkmont.
Mrs. Smith was born September 17, 1943 in Lincoln County, Tennessee. She was of the Baptist Faith and she was retired from Chrysler.
There will be a 4PM Graveside Service Monday, April 17, 2023 at New Grove Cemetery in Blanche, Tennessee with Joe McNeal officiating.
No visitation is planned. Spry Funeral Home of Athens is directing.
Survivors: Daughters, Justine May of Elkmont and Lynne (Russell) George of Dellrose, TN. Grandchildren: Kristen Davis of Warwick, RI, Kristel May of Boston, MA. Zek George of Dellrose, TN, Shelby George of Anderson, AL, Kristina May of Elkmont and April G. George of Ardmore, TN. Great Granddaughter, Evie George. Brother, Calvin Holt of Ardmore, TN. Sisters, Faye Jackson of Lenoir City, TN and Barbara McNeal of Taft, TN. Cats, Sweet Pea and Felix.
Preceded in death by husband, Freddie Lee Smith. Pallbearers will be Zek George, Shelby George, Samatha George, April G. George, Joey McNeal and Craig Rolin.

So sorry to hear about Doris, she was always such a joy to be around. I know she's happy to be united with her Freddie, I never met him but felt like I knew him because Doris was always talking about him and the rest of the family, she dearly loved. My prayers goes out to her precious family.
