David Lee Ivey, 68 of Athens, Alabama, died Thursday,
July 13, 2023 at Huntsville Hospital.
Mr. Ivey was born December 11, 1954 in
Madison County, Alabama, he was of the Baptist Faith and he was retired Carpenter
Foreman from Amoco Chemicals.
Services will be 4pm Sunday at Spry Funeral Home
Chapel in Athens with Frankie Murphy officiating with burial in Roselawn
Cemetery.
Visitation is Saturday 6pm until 9pm at Spry Funeral Home.
Pallbearers are Michael Ivey, Brandon Ivey, Colby Murphy, Michael Lee Johnson,
Tracy Turner, Michael Turner, Lewis Turner and Shane Reyer.
Survivors: Wife,
Sarah Ivey of Athens. Daughter, Tina (Frankie) Murphy of Athens. Sons, Michael
Ivey of Athens and Brandon (Lacy) Ivey of Moulton, AL. Grandchildren, Chloe
Johnson, Colby Murphy, Jayla Ivey, Kayla Ivey, Evie Ivey and Gracie Ivey. Great
Granddaughters, Adaline Johnson and Adlee Johnson. Brothers, Jerry Ivey of
Athens, Terry Ivey of Prattville, AL, Mark Ivey of Athens and Jimmy Ivey of
Ardmore, AL. Sisters, Aline Lang of Madison, AL, Fran Alcorn of Moulton, AL and
Patricia Gardner of Athens. Several Nieces and Nephews.

Alivia was everything to me. I miss you baby girl. I will always have memories of you. I just wish God didn't take you so soon. Thank you for letting me be your auntie. I miss you sweet girl. I don't know what happened I'm still trying to figure it out. I wanna see u again. Alivia you were always there for auntie I just wish I was there when you needed me. I'm sorry RIP
