William Arvel White age 88 of Athens passed from this
life on June 20, 2020.
He was born in Limestone County on October 29, 1931 to
parents William Arthur and Edna Lee White. Mr. White
was a Veteran of the United States Navy. After
coming home he worked at Monsanto in Decatur
until he left to pursue his passion of being a full time farmer.
There will be a 5pm Graveside Service
Monday at Valley View Cemetery with Jeff May officiating. Visitation is from
3pm until 4:30pm at Spry Funeral Home.
He was preceded in death by his parents,
his wife Faye Newman White and 2 sisters Barbara White and Loree Armstrong.
Mr.
White is survived by sons Grant (Alecia) White of Athens, AL; Mark (Beth) White
of Houston, TX. Seven grandchildren Caleb
(Bethany) White, Bailee White, Aubree White, Ben White, Liam White, Leah
(Daniel) Bailey, Lauren (Dan) Norton. Seven
great-grandchildren. Brothers Bobby White, Dickie White, Ronald White, Steve White, Michael
White. Sisters Janice Norton, Glenda Stinnett, Diane Johnson, Joyce Hagood,
Carolyn Hargrove.
Pallbearers will be Caleb White, Ben White, Pete Hargrove,
Ronnie White, Rodney Herndon and Michael Norton.
