Walter Howard Simpson, 85 of Elkmont, Alabama, died
Thursday, April 8, 2021 at Athens-Limestone Hospital.
Mr. Simpson was born
March 29, 1936 in Limestone County, he was a member of Marion Street Church of Christ,
he was retired from Fruehauf and he was a U.S. Army Veteran.
Services will be
2pm Sunday at Spry Funeral Home in Athens with Kevin Harrington officiating,
burial in Myers Cemetery. Visitation is from 7pm until 9pm Saturday at Spry
Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Austin Simpson, Keith Simpson, Tim Gray,
Randall Simpson, Danny Crowe and Keith Crowe. Survivors: Wife, Barbra Simpson
of Elkmont. Son, Kevin (Melissa) Simpson of Athens. Grandchildren, Austin
(Hannah) Simpson of Athens and Keith (Monique) Simpson of Athens. Great
Grandson, Mason Simpson. Sisters, Margie Goodin of Elkmont and Jane Gray of
Elkmont. Several Nieces and Nephews.
Preceded in death by: Parents, Robert
& Lena Simpson. Four Brothers and Four Sisters.
