Virginia Marie Grisham, 78 of Athens, AL died Tuesday,
September 8, 2020 at Athens Health & Rehab. Mrs. Grisham attended the
Methodist Church and was a former member of the Athens Limestone Rescue Squad.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ewing (Mickey) Grisham.
Funeral Services will be Saturday, 1 PM at Spry Funeral Home
Chapel. Burial will be in the Athens City Cemetery. Visitation will be
Saturday, 11 AM until service time.
Survivors include, Sons: Samuel Jackson Grisham of Athens,
AL, David Manson Grisham of Elkmont, AL, Brothers: Leslie Bagsby of Elkmont,
AL, Henry Bagsby of Athens, AL, Sister: Evelyn Bagsby of Athens, AL, 5
Grandchildren & 2 Great Grandchildren

Donna and Rosanne. I just wanted to let you know how much we all loved Bobby and Elva. Your mother and my mother (Frances Clem), could not have been closer. Mother could not have loved a sister more than she did Elva. Kathy and I talked yesterday and we both feel like we have lost our parents once again. I told Kathy that I bet Mom, Dad, Bobby, and Elva were playing Rook and having a blast. I'm sure mother, Elva, and Mary Hand are already planning their first big party and finalizing the menu. Love to you and your family. We all are so fortunate to have had such wonderful parents. May they all rest in peace.
