Mrs. Allene L. George, 91 of Athens, Alabama, died Monday, September 14, 2020 at her residence.

Mrs. George was born August 14, 1929 in Limestone County, she was a member of Blackburn Road Baptist Church in Athens. She was a Homemaker and a Seamstress.  

Services will be 1pm Friday at Spry Funeral Home Chapel in Athens with Dr. James Ray and Greg Patrick officiating, burial in Roselawn Cemetery.

Visitation is from 10:30am until service Friday at Spry Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Frankie Lee, Chris Carter, Lance Martin, Roger Chambers, Quinton Sprouse and Brandon Chambers. Survivors: Daughter, Joan Sprouse of Athens. Son, Mike (Brenda) George of Athens. Grandchildren, Somer (Bailey) Reding of Athens, Jada (Chris) Carter of Harvest and Brandon Chambers of Decatur. Great Grandchildren, Finley & Charleigh Reding, Presley Carter, Tynlee Carter, Daulton Chambers and Jordan Chambers. Several Nieces and Nephews.

Preceded in death by: Parents, Rome & Mattie Lee. Husband, Floyd George. Sister, Etha Martin. Brothers, Price Lee, Fred Lee & James Earl Lee. Son-in-Law, Larry Sprouse.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Limestone County.

Mrs. George was one of the most precious people I have ever known. I have MS and that comes with mobility issues. She would help me in & out of the house, always telling me to "be careful. Don't fall." I will miss her sweet smile. My condolences to her family. May her memory always be a blessing.
