From first meeting Roger at Booth Chapel I knew, my mother felt same, we knew we wanted to have him for our minister. He was friend and minister of our family from then, 2001, until his passing. Thanks Roger for being a good friend. Thanks for the visits and baptizing Dan and officiating his funeral. Thanks for your many many prayers with my family members. Thanks for being the kind of friend I could joke around with and sharing some of your bluegrass music. I never sing or hear sung Old Rugged Cross without thinking of you along with thinking of Christ. Rest in peace and I know you're very happy now---no pain, no tears---just pure joy. Your friend and sister in Christ, Doris

We met Roger after moving to Athens in 2018 after we had visited several Churches of Christ in the area. We knew right away that we wanted to worship with Roger and Judy at Leggtown Church of Christ. Roger was a dear, dear friend and Christian brother. We will always remember you with great love. Now there is peace and rest for you.
