Garrett passed away at his home on November 2, 2020. Mr. Garrett
was born in Town Creek, AL on February 27, 1935 to Riley
and Beulah Garrett..
Services will be 11am Thursday at Spry Funeral Home Chapel
in Athens with Bud White officiating with
burial in Roselawn Cemetery, visitation is from 10am until service Thursday at
Spry Funeral Home.

He was
preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers - J.R., Willard,
Lyle, 4 sisters - Ophelia Carter, Beatrice Butler, Mildred Rogers, and Mary
Louise Garrett, his father- and mother-in-law, Henderson and Olna Bullington.
He is
survived by his wife of 64 years, Marilyn Garrett, Daughter, Carol Holland (Justin), Son - Robert (Amanda), 3 grandchildren - Ben Garrett (Bailey), Stephanie Tucker (Patrick), and Allie Simants, 4 great-grandchildren,
one sister, Betty Sue Hayes, several
nieces and nephews.
Mr. Garrett
loved his wife and entire family with all of his being and was very proud of his children and grandchildren. He was the strong pillar of our family. He was
a very faithful member of Northside Church of Christ for more than 60 years. He served
his country in the U.S. Army and the U.S. Army National Guard.
