J. D. Posey, 58 of Tanner, Alabama, died Monday, November 9, 2020 at his residence.

Services will be 2pm Thursday at Spry Funeral Home with Doug Caldwell officiating with burial in Hester’s Cemetery, visitation is from 12noon until service Thursday at the funeral home.

Mr. Posey was born December 10, 1961 in Limestone County, he was an avid Mopar Racer and an avid Guitar Musician.

Survivors: Mother: Mary Posey of Tanner, Stepsons: Joe McCown of Ardmore, AL, Michael Tribble of Athens and Terry Norman of Athens; Brother: Julyn Posey of Tanner; Sisters: Teresa Blackwell of Athens, Mellisa Hopper of Tanner, Pam Posey of Hartselle and Sosha (Jamie) Rose of Tanner; Special Friends: Trish Tribble and Jodonna Richey.

Preceded in death by: Father: Dwight Posey; Son: John McCown, Grandparents: Otis & Maebell Posey and Warren & Vernie Goode.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Mable Rose. She was such a beautiful, graceful, God loving woman and she will be missed. I just found out about her passing today, Dec. 13th. I am sending out many prayers and much love to all of you, her family. Rest in Peace, Mable Rose. Mother will be waiting to give you a big hug.
