Cecilia Gardell Cole, 76 of Athens,
Alabama, died Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at Athens-Limestone Hospital.
Mrs.
Cole was born September 16, 1944 in Lauderdale County, she was a member of New
Hope Baptist Church, she was a volunteer at Athens-Limestone County Family
Resource Center, a former owner of Cole’s Florist and a volunteer for Kids’
Camp in Gatlinburg, TN.
Services will be 2pm Saturday at Spry Funeral Home
chapel with Daniel Smith officiating with burial in Grassy Cemetery.
Visitation
is from 12noon until service Saturday at Spry Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be
James Batts, Jacobie Batts, Devin Wallace, Seth Coggins, Billy Durham and Corey
Harbin.
Survivors: Sons, Jimmy Ray (Erica) Wallace of Harvest, AL and Tony
(Karen Campbell) Wallace of Athens. Grandchildren, Letanya Wallace of
Hartselle, Stephanie Durham of Decatur, Leah Branch of Birmingham and Corey
Harbin of Harvest. Five Great Grandchildren. Brothers, Mackie Riggs of Athens,
Danny Riggs of Athens and Frankie Riggs of Salem, AL. Sisters, Patricia
Patterson of Athens, Evelyn Haggenmaker of Athens and Tracy Shehorn of Athens.
Nieces and Nephews.
Preceded in death by, Husband, Larry Cole. Daughters, Greta
Wallace and Jefflyn Wallace. Brother, David Riggs.
