Joe Price Baker, 82 of Athens, Alabama, died Friday, January 1, 2021 at Athens-Limestone Hospital.
Mr. Baker was born July 3, 1938 in Limestone County, he was a member of O’Neal Church of Christ, he was a electronics salesman for G&N Electronics and a retired U.S. Navy Veteran.
There will be a 11am Graveside Service Saturday at Valley View Cemetery with Guy McDaniel officiating. No visitation is planned.
Pallbearers will be Keith Baker, Perry Baker, Brenden Baker, Grayson Baker, Chandler Baker and Justin VanHoozer. Honorary Pallbearers are Cade Baker, Greg Nixon, Tyler VanHoozer and Heath Baker.
Survivors: Wife, Faye Chittam Baker of Athens. Daughter, Carol Thornton of Athens. Sons. Dan (Misty) Baker of Athens and Byron (Amanda) Baker of Athens. Grandchildren, Chandler Baker, Dylan M. Baker, Brianna Baker, Brenden Baker, Grayson Baker and Ashlyn Thornton. Brothers, Bill (Barbara) Baker of Athens and Lendell (Linda) Baker of Athens. Sister: Peggy (Bobby) Nixon of Athens. Nieces and Nephews.
Preceded in death by: Wife, Eddie Ruth Baker. Parents, Harry and Ruth Estaline Baker. Brother, Harry Hobson (Pauline) Baker.
