William Kyle Looney 76 passed away on January, 9, 2022
at Athens Limestone Hospital.
Bill was born on November 2, 1945 to Lewell Looney
and Audrey Johnson Looney. He was an Air Force Veteran and owned Bama Billiards
for many years. He was lovingly called the mayor of Coleman Hill by his life
long friends. He liked to write about growing up on the Hill and all the antics
he and his friends would d.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his
brother, Larry, his sister, Susan Looney Pugh Qualls, nieces Shonnie Vercruz
and Traci Looney.
He is survived by nieces Shaun Pugh and Elizabeth Vercruz,
nephews David Pugh, Ronnie Looney, Bryan Looney, and Frank Looney, Also brother
in law, Daryle Qualls and sister in law, Mary Looney, one aunt Verona Walton,
great nieces and nephews, and several cousins.G
raveside Service will be
Thursday, January 13, 2022 at 2PM with Doug Colwell officiating, No visitation
is planned. Interment will be in Athens City Cemetery.
