Johnny Wade Carter 74 of Athens, passed away Friday,
September 2, 2022 at his residence.
Services will be 2PM Tuesday at Lindsay
Lane Baptist Church with Chad Wise and Andy John King officiating.
Visitation
will be from 1 PM until Service time at the church. Burial will be in
Athens City Cemetery.
He was a retired truck driver and general contractor.
He
is survived by: Wife: Glyndia Carter of Athens, Sons: Johnny Wade Carter Jr. of
Decatur, Jeffery Scott Carter of Athens, Brother James (Jimbo) Carter of
Athens, Sister: Jennifer (Jenny) White of Athens, Suzanne Carter of Athens, 7
Grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be: Matt Cooper, Ricky
Hughes, Scott Carter, David Derrick, Clay Jones, Mark Jones, Stacey McConnell
and Steven McConnell.
Honorary Pallbearers will be: Jimbo Carter, Chuck
Kilpatrick, John David White, Al White, Floyd Romine, Gary Romine, Tommy White,
Donald Gene McConnell, Charlie Page and Charlie Schrimsher.
