Gregory Miles Smith, 62 of Athens, Alabama, died Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at his residence.

Mr. Smith was born November 10, 1960 in Limestone County and he was a member of First Baptist Church in Athens.

There will be a 1PM Graveside Service Saturday at Athens City Cemetery with Joe Teal officiating and visitation is 11:30 am until 12:30pm at Spry Funeral Home in Athens. Family will serve as pallbearers.

Survivors: Father, Charles N. Smith of Athens. Sons, Clint Smith of Harvest and Cody (Kelsie) Smith of Huntsville. Brother: David Lane (Katie) Smith of Decatur. Granddaughter, Lainey Smith. Several Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.

Preceded in death by his Mother, Barbara Ann Smith.

I have know Greg since the second grade. He was loved and admired by all. Back in the day He gave me a necklace with two silver hearts which I'm sure Ms. Barbara picked out. I still have it. What an amazing family I'll see them again one day.
