 Marvin Wayne Miller Sr.

January 20, 1935 - June 30, 2024

Marvin Wayne Miller Sr., age 89, resident of Athens, Alabama passed this life surrounded by his loving family.

Marvin was born in Macon County, Tennessee on January 20, 1935 to Emma Josephine (Emmanuel) and Velmer Lee Miller. On June 24, 1956, he married the love of his life, the late Margaret Ann Hurst Miller. They shared four children as he and the family traveled far and wide before eventually settling in Athens in 1962. As a U.S. Air Force Korean War veteran, Marvin was a man known for his faithful service in all aspects of his life; from his church involvement to his brotherhood of Freemasons. He was remarkably intelligent, steadfast in his beliefs, and unyielding until his last day. Those who knew him would leave with a laugh and a smile. After Marvin retired from his ownership of West End Outdoors, he enjoyed tending his flower and vegetable gardens, birdwatching, and puzzling. Some of his favorite times were spent with his dogs, the late Roxy Miller and Lillie Belle, and gathering with family for Sunday dinner.
